Remote position

Job Summary:

This is a remote role supporting the System Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services and the acute care pharmacy team. The position is budgeted for 8 hours per week, which can be completed in one day or split across two days. Focus areas include but are not limited to conducting medication use evaluations, formulary reviews, implementing cost-savings initiatives, helping with clinical pharmacy standardization, reviewing order sets, and supporting clinical pharmacy services across a large enterprise.

Essential Functions:

  • Complete medication use evaluations and formulary reviews

  • Complete order set reviews and represent pharmacy services in order set committee meetings

  • Representing pharmacy services at multidisciplinary, system-level meetings

  • Co-chairing a pharmacy committee

  • Supporting cost-savings initiatives

  • Answering drug information questions

  • Supporting drug shortage mitigation strategies

  • Update clinical pharmacy practices and workflows

  • Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.

Education:

Required: Doctorate of Pharmacy

Experience

  • 2 years of recent experience in an acute care setting (required)

  • 1 year of leadership experience (preferred)

  • Experience using Epic electronic medical record (preferred)

  • Post graduate residency training and/or board certification (preferred)
