Job Overview As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the UC College of Medicine has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients. The College of Medicine, Office of Operations and Finance is recruiting a Senior Business Administrator. This person is a professional employee that has direct supervisory responsibilities in addition to post-award accounting and grant management responsibilities for a wide range of projects/tasks associated with primary business operations, academic, or student services. Responsibilities include day-to-day administration of specialized activities related to a business office and reports to management, provide recommendation and advice to management or other groups on process related topics and conduct or carry out work procedures and activities in accordance with local, state, federal, and university regulations. This position will offer flexibility for a hybrid remote schedule for applicants with a residence within OH/IN/KY once training is complete. Remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies. Essential Functions Manage post-award financial, administrative, and operational activities of a large and diversified academic unit, including effort allocations, operating expenses, budget modifications, and grant reporting. Supervise day-to-day operations for 3-5 staff accountants and financial administrators, including annual goal setting, time reporting, and performance evaluations. Coordinate and oversee preparation of the annual budget for academic units. Oversee processing of purchase requisitions, employee expense reimbursements, and monthly purchasing card reconciliations. Serve as an expert resource to others and may serve on committees and special projects. Perform related duties based on departmental need. Complete other duties as assigned including special projects. This job description can be changed at any time. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree with five (5) years' experience; - OR- Associate's degree and seven (7) years' experience; -OR- nine (9) years' experience; degree must be in Business Administration or related field. Financial and administrative experience is required and must include three (3) years supervision. Incumbent must possess the business/financial experience to be fully proficient in performing most or all work assignments. Incumbent must possess an ability to function as either the business expert in a single highly complex and integrated business area or as the business expert in multiple complex financial areas and understand problems from a broad, interactive perspective and must possess substantial knowledge of other specialties and
