Nike Director, Business HR, LATAM in Ciudad de México, Mexico

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

As HR Director for our LATAM territory based in our Mexico City office, you'll provide solutions and advocacy to employees, managers and senior leaders. In collaboration with the global, geography and territory HR teams you'll help create and implement functional HR strategy across multiple teams and business units. You'll execute and deliver key HR programs, practices and policies to the business, managers and employees. You'll provide strategic consultation and coaching to executive/corporate leaders on organisational issues that contribute to growth and competitiveness of the business and the team. You'll also serve as a key resource for employees through sensing, listening, providing guidance and directing inquiries to the appropriate HR specialists.

As part of a global HR organization, the role will require some travel throughout LATAM and to Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon in the United States.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

  • As owner of LATAM & CASA territory Team & Talent Strategy, you’ll build strong partnerships with COEs to collaborate effectively in designing and delivering team and talent solutions for the Pacific business.

  • Lead and coach broader territory HR teammates and foster a one-team mindset in driving strategy and programs in territory in support of the Asia Pacific Latin America (APLA) geography HR strategy.

  • Build organisational alignment and capability through development and/or facilitation of appropriate leader focused interventions; e.g., team effectiveness, goal development and alignment, manager capability, employee engagement, etc.

  • Provide expert advice and coaching to leaders and their teams and drive a "manager excellence" mindset to ensure that strong leadership and a coaching culture permeates the organisation.

  • As a champion of change and agility, guide and coach the business and territory HR teammates through change journeys

  • Develop strategic, effective workforce plans that are aligned with business strategies and objectives.

  • Provide HR functional expertise on business strategies, as well as general business expertise, to managers and teams.

  • Accountable for the state of the bench, succession, career planning and functional excellence.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

This role will focus on Nike's Pacific business across Latin America (LATAM) and Central America/South America (CASA) and will partner with the Pacific Leadership Team. It will report to the VP, Business HR, APLA, based in Beaverton, Oregon in the United States.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 9-10 years directly relevant work experience Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 6 yrs; Masters + 7 yrs; Associates degree + 9yrs; High School + 10 yrs

  • Minimum 8 years of experience across HR Generalist and Specialist areas; experience leading or working closely with OD/OE, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition and Total Rewards preferred.

  • Proven experience setting and leading complex organizational effectiveness and design initiatives, as well as multi-year talent strategies, is highly preferred

  • Well-developed business acumen and proven enterprise thinking and proven experience developing partnerships with business leaders, particularly in helping them lead an organization through significant change, and during a period of realignment and growth.

  • Ability to coach and communicate across all levels of a matrix organization. • Strong executive communication and presentation skills

  • Comfortable with ambiguity

  • Flexible and adaptable to change in a fast-moving organisation.
