Purchasing Clerk / Buyer

Pay:\$15+/hr \|Hours:Day Shift (6:00 AM2:30 PM) \|Job Type:Temp-to-Hire \|Location:Pryor, Oklahoma

Job Description:\ We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Clerk / Buyer to join our team in Pryor, OK. This role involves a variety of purchasing and clerical responsibilities, including preparing and distributing purchase orders, maintaining purchasing files, reports, and price lists, and reviewing requisition orders for accuracy and compliance with specifications. The individual will communicate with suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries, resolve issues such as shortages or delays, and track the status of requisitions and purchase orders. Additional duties include responding to inquiries from customers and suppliers regarding order status, processing order changes or cancellations, updating databases with new vendors, part numbers, and price changes, and maintaining the company asset list. Providing outstanding customer service to both internal and external stakeholders is a key responsibility.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP software is preferred.
• Strong clerical skills, including word processing, file management, and other administrative tasks.
