The Sherwin-Williams Company IT Program Manager in Cleveland, Ohio

The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring that all the projects within a portfolio/program are aligned with the organization's strategic objectives and are successfully delivered within the set time, budget, and quality parameters. The role is crucial in ensuring that the program portfolio is appropriately balanced concerning resources and priorities, and that all projects contribute to the overall goals of the organization. The Program Manager will work closely with the ED&I Portfolio Management Director and other stakeholders to prioritize projects, coordinate team members, establish project deadlines, and create project proposals that effectively meet the business objectives. The Program Manager role also involves creating, implementing, and maintaining project management standards and processes to ensure that all projects within the portfolio are delivered efficiently and effectively. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: Develop and manage a project portfolio and roadmap that drives the organization's Data & Insights strategy and objectives Align program projects with the organization's overall business strategy and prioritize projects based on business impact and resource availability Monitor project progress, remove impediments, identify risks and issues, and ensure timely and successful project delivery Drive collaboration with cross-functional teams across the organization to ensure project timelines, milestones, and goals are achieved Develop and implement project management methodologies and best practices to ensure standardization and consistency across the portfolio Communicate project status, progress, and risks to stakeholders at various levels in the organization Ensure that all projects within the portfolio are appropriately staffed, and resources are allocated effectively FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field, or in lieu of related degree, at least 8 years of experience portfolio, program management and/or project management roles Preferred: Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2 or Agile) preferred KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: 8+ years [A1] of experience in conducting research and analysis and generating insights Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at different levels within the organization Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, and adapt to changing priorities and timelines Knowledge of Data Management concepts and principles Preferred: Previous supervisory experience or team responsibility preferred.
