Emerson Director Project Proposals Systems and Software Europe in CLUJ NAPOCA, Romania

As the Director of Project Proposals, you will lead and coordinate the proposal development process for Systems and Software Projects in Europe.

This position requires strategic thinking, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling proposals that align with the organization's goals and objectives.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Team Leadership: Build and guide a team of proposal engineers and experts, fostering a goal-oriented environment. Guide and mentor team members, aligning with sales leaders to set proposal strategies.

  • Proposal Development: Manage the entire proposal process, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with client requirements. Collaborate with various teams to gather information, review content, and develop pricing strategies.

  • Strategy and Planning: Ensure strategic solutions and tailor proposals to client requirements. Work with collaborators to understand requirements and drive the team accordingly. Create and maintain standards, schedules, and templates to streamline the process.

  • Quality Assurance: Establish and implement quality control processes to guarantee high-quality proposals. Conduct reviews and identify areas for improvement in content and processes.

  • Client Engagement: Interact with clients to clarify needs, address inquiries, and ensure understanding. Collaborate with sales to align proposals with client expectations and market trends.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately record proposal activities and generate reports on metrics, success rates, and areas for improvement.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry standard methodologies and see opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., business, communications, Automation).

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Familiarity with various served industries and understanding of client requirements.

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Showed experience in proposal development, preferably in a leadership role

  • Understanding of the Systems and Software solutions, processes, and Organization

  • Proven experience in effectively managing, motivating, and developing teams is ideal.
