Kuehne+Nagel Operational Care Manager in Colombo, Sri Lanka
You will be joining our Operational Care Team to add your leadership expertise + skills to the delivery of operational excellence.
Your Role
You will be responsible for the delivery of operational excellence through your team of operational care specialists by providing leadership + direction, while continuously optimizing production costs.
Your Responsibilities
To ensure operational excellence through high quality shipment management + export services.
To collaborate with customer care locations (CCL) through proactive provision of information, knowledge, solutions + alternatives to deliver customer satisfaction.
To maintain + strengthen operational carrier relationships.
To contribute to continuous improvements of processes + controls for lean and cost-efficient processes.
To optimize the development of sea logistics operational KPIs.
To ensure the highest levels of productivity within the organization in collaboration with systems + processes.
To perform timely + accurate cost/revenue updates, escalating all files that are below the minimum GP threshold as per guidelines to ensure cost awareness + efficiency.
To support and resolve claims + disputes.
Your Skills and Experiences
At least 5 years operational experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field.
Preferred candidate who understand the technical process relating to sales.
Has lead a team in a managerial role.
Posses Lean Six Sigma certification.
Excellent communication and strategic planning skills to handle customer inquiries and resolve team issues effectively.
Good spoken English would be essential.
Strong attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and ensure accuracy in documentation and shipment tracking.
Ability to address and resolve issues proactively, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
