Job Type: Full time; Consultant (6 Months)
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Schedule: Monday to Friday; 1st Shift
Pay Rate: $31.00 per hour
Position Summary: As an Operations Technician, you will play a vital role in optimizing and supporting the manufacturing processes for specialty aircraft seats, including pilot, flight attendant, and observer seats for commercial platforms. You’ll work closely with various teams to troubleshoot and enhance production methods, ensuring high-quality, efficient manufacturing. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement, creating a direct impact on product quality and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the liaison between the manufacturing team and the Manufacturing Engineering group to ensure smooth communication and quick issue resolution.
Troubleshoot assembly and manufacturing processes to identify failures and recommend corrective actions.
Write Quality Notifications (QN) for part defects, collaborating with teams to implement solutions.
Review and update tooling lists for assembly lines, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Support First Article Inspection (FAI) by verifying setup folders and addressing any related issues.
Assist in the development of tools that improve manufacturing processes, address safety concerns, and enhance ergonomics.
Continuously improve manufacturing operations using the CORE Operating System, focusing on quality and productivity.
Support assembly in station loading and line balancing, optimizing workflows.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or AA/AS degree (or equivalent post-secondary training).
Minimum of 4 years of fabrication/machining experience.
In-depth understanding of company procedures and technical drawings.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively across teams, with good written and verbal communication skills.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with aerospace manufacturing or similar technical industries.
Familiarity with First Article Inspection (FAI) processes.
Knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles.

Pay Details: $31.00 per hour
