Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Agile Product Owner – Network Team Lead (25-030) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Colorado Springs, CO. , and/or Schriever Space Force Base, CO.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate and synchronize autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.
The candidate will serve as a Network Team Lead in this role. As a Network Team Lead, the candidate will coordinate the planning, organization, and execution of engineering activities to develop assigned technical capabilities integrated into the C2BMC Network Enterprise. The candidate will work within an agile team and plan work based on customer requirements and program contractual agreements.
Essential Functions:
Create, maintain, and present KPIs and other metrics related to the Network Enterprise
Applies extensive expertise
Solves complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
Work is performed without appreciable direction and is reviewed for desired results from a relatively long-term perspective
Function in project leadership roles and represent the organization as prime customer contact on significant technical matters on contracts
Accountable for the capability's overall engineering technical, cost, and schedule performance
Expected to maintain clear and open communication with program and engineering management regarding status, Earned Value Management ( EVM ), staffing needs, program risks, and other relevant program and engineering metrics
Will drive the use of best practices within the engineering team using Agile processes, tools, and framework
Review capability artifacts and development practices for compliance with engineering principles, company and program standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications
Work with Development Engineers and Release Train Engineers to develop schedule, technical, and cost performance of the capability
Provide input to standard metrics packages to be used for program execution status, technical improvement, and management/customer status updates
Management of risk mitigation activities, schedule planning, and managing change requests associated with the capabilities
Preparation and presentation of internal and external communications, including but not limited to In Process Reviews ( IPRs ), Integrated Engineering Technical Reviews ( IETRs ), and bi-weekly status meetings for program management and customer representatives
Manage the lifecycle of negotiated and assigned ECP effort(s) added to the capability
Coordinate and resolve multiple spiral and capability resource de-confliction across the Agile Release Train ( ART )and with other program ARTs
Lead ART planning activities to ensure priority and maturity are achieved
Resolve schedule and technical issues
Create and analyze what-if scenarios as needed
Participation in ART-level Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, team backlog refinement, and retrospectives
Expected to achieve long-term goals as the responsible Capability Owner with limited program and engineering management oversight
Maintain the Hive structure for the team and keep up-to-date daily
Prior C2BMC experience
Prior Team Lead and/or Product Owner experience
Developing KPIs tracking, other metrics and creating reports
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Strong Interpersonal, Presentation, Communication, and Facilitation Skills
Learning Agility in picking up business processes specific to Business Process Management & Earned Value Management
Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations
Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies
Customer focused
Proactively builds and aligns stakeholders, capabilities, and resources for getting things done quickly and achieving objectives
Knowledge and experience with C2BMC NT/BC processes and procedures
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Project Management, or Mathematics discipline preferred from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years of experience or 12 years of related experience instead of a degree may be considered
Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility at the time of application, which is required to start
DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.) is required to start
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs
Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools
Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated network engineers and independently on large field projects
Proven project management experience as part of large DoD systems and capabilities under development
Experience managing and reporting cost, schedule, and technical development on a large program, exhibiting the ability to coordinate planning, execution, integration, and completion of projects within your area of assigned responsibility
Experience in planning, conducting, and coordinating activities such as:
Documentation development
Technical exchange meetings with stakeholders
Test events
C apability deployments
Support program management of strategic technical projects, problem-solving, and ensuring the effective operation of the overall business rhythm
Experience with Agile methodology or Agile Product Owner certification, Digital Transformation , and DevOps implementation
Experience managing the design, development, and implementation of complex systems
Ability to analyze project, program, and portfolio information needs, as well as determine the resources needed to achieve objectives

Additional Northrop Grumman Information:
Salary Range: $124,900 - $187,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
