Robert Half Staff Auditor in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Description

Robert Half is currently seeking applicants for the role of Staff Auditor in Colorado Springs. As a Staff Auditor, you will play a crucial role in our client's team by performing a multitude of auditing functions. This role requires much more than a good understanding of auditing principles and application. It is a client-facing role that requires you to engage effectively with clients, manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines without compromising the quality of your work. As a Staff Auditor, your responsibilities will include executing audit tests on a variety of financial statement accounts such as cash, accounts payable, investments, fixed assets, and accrued liabilities. You will be expected to prepare comprehensive audit documentation associated with planning and risk assessment. Interacting with client personnel to reconcile account disagreements and scrutinize financial data would be a part of your regular duties. Proficiency in software such as PfX Engagement and QuickBooks are essential for this role, as these tools will be employed for various tasks. A strong problem-solving attitude, the ability to take the initiative when required, and a commitment to accuracy and completion in your work will be key to your success in this role. Despite dealing with multiple concurrent projects, maintaining a professional demeanor throughout is a non-negotiable expectation.

Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Staff Auditor role or similar

• Demonstrable adeptness in Audit Program and Audit Engagements

• Proficiency in Accounting Functions, Auditing, and Audit Plans is required

• Experience with Budget Processes and Annual Audited Financial Statements is desirable

• Candidates should be well-versed in Audit, Audit - Financial, and Audit Activities

• Familiarity with Audit Compliance, Audit Findings, Audit Functions, Audit Reports, and Audit Reviews

• Knowledge in Financial Statement Audits will be advantageous

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is required

• The ability to manage and execute Audit Activities and PFX is essential

• Candidates must be able to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

• Professional certification such as CPA or CIA is preferred.
