Scrum Master

Key Tasks (Major duties and responsibilities of the position):

· Facilitate Scrum ceremonies.

· Guide and coach the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality products and services.

· Facilitate Scrum events including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.

· Remove Scrum Team impediments to progress.

· Ensure a proper flow of communication between the Scrum Team and external stakeholders, translating and negotiating requirements as needed.

· Encourage and lead the team in continuous improvement practices; suggesting and championing changes that increase productivity and quality.

· Monitor project progress and performance through the use of Agile metrics and tools.

· Report team progress and successes to facilitate transparency.

· Assist the Product Manager in managing the product backlog effectively, ensuring it is properly refined and prioritized based on the overarching project goals and customer needs.

Required Skills:

Proven experience:

· Minimum of 3 years of experience leading Scrum Teams on a Federal Healthcare IT project.

· Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.

· Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.

· Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with team members and stakeholders at all levels.

· Proficient with Agile project management tools.

Desired Skills:

Proven experience with:

· Certified Scrum Master (CSM) required

· Advanced and/or additional Scrum Master certifications desired (e.g., Professional Scrum Master, SAFe Scrum Master, etc.)

Required Education / Certifications

· Computer Science degree or Bachelor’s Degree in a related major
