The Sr. Director, Payer Solutions is responsible for representing Health Mart Atlas' retail pharmacy network to the pharmacy benefit managers and payer community. This role will lead the retail contracting strategy for retail pharmacies under Health Mart Atlas including but not limited to independent pharmacies, medically integrated dispensaries, and health system outpatient pharmacies. Manage the team responsible for payer relationship development, contract evaluation, contractual requirements tracking post contract execution, customer issue resolution related to PBM agreements, internal and external resource development. Regularly interacts with internal and PBM executives as well as retail pharmacy customer leadership teams. Strategy: Develop and strengthen pharmacy benefit manager and other payer relationships Partner with PBMs and other payer partners to develop, nurture and grow strong mutually beneficial relationships that will ultimately benefit Health Mart Atlas' ability to secure and retain the most pharmacy-favorable payer contracts available and access to lives through operational efficiencies generated from our relationship and beneficial service offerings to customers through enhanced issue resolution. Responsible for financial and non-financial contract requirements and ongoing monitoring Leadership: Provide leadership and development of retail payer engagement team members Responsible for professional development and guidance of all team members Support leadership bench strength and development for cross-functional partners Customer experience: Support the enhanced customer experience by establishing collaboration with broader business teams to educate on managed care trends and contract complexities. Regularly engage with key customer executives to support continued retention and growth of PSAO services. Digital solutions: Collaborate with product development and technology teams to establish digital contract solutions through pharmacy facing portals. Minimum Requirement Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 13+ years of professional experience and 6+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills (or equivalent experience). Education 4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experience Critical Skills 10+ years of experience in a managed care environment working for stakeholder such as payer, PBM, PSAO, or retail pharmacy 6+ years managerial experience with passion for team development Additional Skills Comprehensive knowledge of retail PBM contracting Demonstrated success in navigating managed care contracts in competitive markets and advanced understanding of contract language Salary: 142,500.00 - 190,000.00 - 237,500.00 USD Annual (Target 175K with 25% MIP) M5 Working Conditions: Environment (Office, warehouse, etc.) - General office Physical Requirements (Lifting, standing, etc.) - General Office demands We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
