Job Title: Warehouse & Logistics Manager
A little bit about our team:
Homemade Merchandise is a music and entertainment merchandising company based in Los Angeles, California. We partner directly with some of the world’s best musicians, comedians, podcasts and brands for whom we operate e-commerce websites and organize touring merchandise on behalf.
Your role:
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Manager to oversee our warehouse operations, ensuring efficient handling of inbound and outbound shipments, effective inventory management, optimal storage control and logistical support for our touring operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail, as well as the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
Here you’ll get to:
Coordinate and manage the receipt of incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Oversee the inspection of goods for quality and quantity, addressing any discrepancies with relevant department or employee
Upload quantities to WMS to finish the PO process
Manage the preparation and dispatch of outgoing shipments, ensuring compliance with delivery schedules
Collaborate with logistics providers to optimize delivery routes and reduce shipping costs.
Coordinate with local couriers across the country to schedule and coordinate last mile deliveries from airports to final destination
Identify and resolve logistical issues that may arise during shipping and receiving processes
Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce errors
Maintain accurate inventory records, including regular audits and cycle counts
Implement inventory control procedures to minimize the time product spends in storage
Optimize warehouse layout for efficient storage and retrieval of goods
Ensure proper storage conditions are maintained for various products to prevent damage
Supervise and train warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety and productivity
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Promote a safe working environment and conduct safety training sessions for staff
About you:
3-5 Years of Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role, preferably in a merchandise distribution environment
Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management practices
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
Must be able to speak English & Spanish fluently
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
Willingness to work in a warehouse environment, which may involve standing for extended periods.
Fast-paced warehouse setting with a focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency
We’d love it if you also had:
Experience with Lean principles or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workplace
