DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Summary: Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, the role is responsible for developing and managing the new growth opportunities pipeline that will drive long-term (3-5 years) growth of the company. The Business Development, New Growth Initiatives Leader's responsibilities include proactively identifying, sourcing, analyzing, and executing new business initiatives to grow the company's revenues. Projects will include strategic research and business partnerships, joint ventures, and new internal business ventures. They will play a significant role in creating and maintaining key external partnerships. He/she will collaborate with experts across the company and have frequent exposure to senior management at both InterDigital and potential partners. The successful candidate will be someone with extensive industry knowledge, excellent collaboration and team leadership skills, executive presence and influencing capability to support effective engagement with company executives and external constituents.

Responsibilities: * Develop a pipeline of new growth initiatives * Identify, source, analyze and execute a wide range of relationships and transaction types, including research partnerships, commercial partnerships, joint ventures, patent pools and joint licensing arrangements, and technology licensing programs * Develop external relationships with bankers, brokers, etc.. to be able to source new growth opportunities. * Establish, grow, and manage relationships with key external partners; and identify and develop relationships with new industry partners that may lead to future business opportunities * Contribute to Corporate Strategy; lead and participate in cross-functional strategy projects on new growth. * Collaborate across functions, in particular with R&I and Patents, to analyze and execute on opportunities * Prepare and present new business opportunities to senior leaders that include detailed financial analysis, market opportunity, revenue potential, IP, competitive landscape and technological assessment * Develop and negotiate term-sheets and provide solutions to reach agreement on deal terms * Work with internal and external legal counsel and other advisers to analyze risk and execute transactions * Lead, promote and provide quality control oversight in all Business Development functions and operations

Qualifications: * 10+ years in technology related work experience consisting of either corporate development, management consulting, investment banking, business development, or corporate strategy preferably in the high-tech industry. * Track record to drive long term strategy for innovation and business growth. * Ability to manage multiple transactions and projects simultaneously under pressure. * Strong relationship-building skills and established relationships in relevant technology sectors * Team player with a collaborative approach to achieving business objectives * Outstanding leader, with demonstrated success leading high-performing cross functional projects * Superior oral and written communication skills, with proven ability to simplify complex concepts in clear and concise communications for ease of business comprehension with internal and external stakeholders * Experience in effectively communicating action plans to multiple teams across a variety of functions * Able to think critically in tactical and strategic dimensions simultaneously * Able to build rapport and establish credibility across functions and at all levels of the Company * Strong quantitative, modeling and negotiations skills and experience * Technology industry experience or interest covering some of the following technology/product areas: mobility, connectivity, cloud computing, video, content delivery, etc. * The ideal candidate will have a business background, MBA preferred. * Prefer experience in sourcing, evaluatin , executing, and integrating acquisitions

Location: Conshohocken, PA preferred but may consider another InterDigital location.
