Job Description
* Responsible for field construction operations within assigned discipline or area.
* Create and drive project schedules, solving critical paths and communicating roadblocks
* Determines workforce requirements. Coordinates established area operational plans. Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft. Monitors work activities and ensures the quality of work performed and cleanliness expectations
* Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
* Approves craft time records using established automated tools.
* Prepares reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, craft personnel forecasts, and expenditures forecast.
* Monitors the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.
* Coordinates activities with other disciplines or areas to ensure seamless integration and execution of work.
* Employ a can-do attitude, quickly working through challenges with all stakeholders while proactively seeking creative solutions
* Schedule and lead quality control and site safety inspections.

Skills and Requirements
* 10-15 years of relevant industry experience (heavy industrial, oil & gas, complex chemical plants)
o Can come from an Instrumentation and Controls background
o Ability to read, interpret, and manage changes to:
Instrumentation design packages
Panel locations & layout drawings
Controls Schedules, PLC Termination Schedules, & Wiring detail drawings
Cable tray/Wireway/raceway and conduit installations.
Network Topology & Layout drawings.
* Must excel on the owner side of the role -- contractor management
* Installation and how to run craft
* Previous experience on $500M+ projects
* Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills are a must
* Contractor side experience, out in the field
* Industrial, refinery, oil and gas industry background
* Ability to read, interpret, and manage changes to:
o Drawings and blueprints null
