The Role

The Senior Project Manager leads several projects with or without the support of other Project Managers. Depending on the project, the Senior Project Manager may be supported by a project team of various size. Projects might include feasibility and budget definition, design studies, construction, renovation, fit out or relocation of office premises or projects in the industrial sector. The Senior Project Manager is capable of leading several principal contracting and/or project management (agency) projects simultaneously. She/He ensures the coordination between various stakeholders (in the company, the different departments, externally, suppliers or subcontractors). She/He ensures the successful completion of the project, phase by phase, in accordance with the company's quality policy. She/He is the main point of contact for clients and therefore must ensure and maintain communication on the progress of the project internally and externally. Based on her/his experience, the Senior Project Manager is able to manage projects by relying on the right partners depending on the challenges encountered. She/He anticipates problems and finds mitigations and is responsible for the budget. She/He is responsible for the delivery of the project(s) in respect with construction deadlines and costs, as well as environmental and safety standards, and in compliance with client specifications.

Tasks to be carried out (list is not exhaustive and can vary depending on experience):

•Represents and advises the client to ensure successful project delivery (Project Management

•Selects consultants/ contractors/ sub-contractors/ partners to carry out the projects (Project

•Management and/or Principal Contracting).

•Responds to tenders for Project Management Assistance missions and Principal Contracting missions.

•Validates offers with line management and using company tools.

•Is a driving force in the choice and implementation of the tools to be used

•Plans and coordinates each project to ensure respect of costs and deadlines.

•Coordinates and controls the intervention of consultants and or contractors/ subcontractors.

•Coordinate and controls the actions of other project stakeholders, including internally

•Carries out regular project monitoring and reporting to the client and the line management.

•Ensures interface with the client: organizes meetings, produces reports, advises, validates client

•requests, advises on validations of additional work if applicable

•Develops close relationship with existing customers and service providers.

•Ensures compliance with regulations.

•Is a force of proposal in the organization of the team to better respond and target customer requests

•Collaborates with engineers, architects, etc. to determine project specifications.

•Negotiates contracts with external service providers to obtain profitable agreements.

•Negotiates contracts with clients.

•Responsible for monitoring permits authorizations and licenses from the competent authorities.

•Determines the necessary resources (labor, equipment, materials) from start to finish, paying attention

•to budgetary limits.

•Knows the financial progress of the projects at any time

•Manages different projects and clients simultaneously

•Plans all construction operations and schedules milestones and/ or intermediate phases to ensure

•deadlines are met.

•Recruits subcontractors and other personnel and assigns responsibilities.

•Evaluates project progress and writes detailed reports.

•Ensures compliance with all health and safety standards and reports issues. Validates Prevention Plans

•and is responsible for the safety of the construction sites

Expertise required

  • Qualification in Engineering/Architect/ESTP or equivalent

  • Experience in the construction industry (MOA/AMO/MOE)

  • Experience in CAT B
