Amazon Marketing Analyst - Music Merch, Amazon Music Merch in Culver City, California

Amazon Music Merch team is looking for a Marketing Analyst to perform analyses on marketing performance for its music merch business. This Analyst will perform deep dives on customer engagement across marketing channels and identify ways to help the Marketing team scale in their customer insights. This role will perform a mix of developing dashboards to help the team self-serve on data questions while also conducting ad-hoc analyses on past marketing performance. They will make recommendations on how to improve campaign performance and close gaps that exist in team reporting on campaign performance.

In addition to performing analysis on marketing performance of Music Merch campaigns, this role has the opportunity to expand into managing marketing tasks and calendar of scheduled content. Bridging learnings and insights from campaign performance, this role will have the opportunity to oversee the execution and optimization of marketing campaigns. They will build, merchandise, and optimize destinations on behalf of artists.

This candidate has demonstrated experience of using data to inform business strategy and make recommendations to leadership based on customer insights. They collaborate well with cross-functional partners across the Music Merch team, and are customer-obsessed in how they serve the internal Music Merch team.

Key job responsibilities

• Analyze and track performance of marketing campaigns, optimize performance, and share learnings with the team.

• Perform ad-hoc data analysis such as customer insights for post-mortems of artist merch campaigns, or broader evaluation of the music merch business.

• Work with Marketing Campaign managers to analyze campaign performance for post-mortems and provide actionable insights and recommendations for future optimization and allocation of resources.

• Build and maintain interactive dashboards with drilldown capabilities, filters, parameters, to enable marketing team to conduct analyses.

• Develop queries focused on marketing performance output.

• Develop an intake process to perform analyses and deep dives on marketing campaigns.

• Use Tableau features to create various types of visualizations such as charts, graphs, and tables to represent the data. Build dashboards that are visually appealing and intuitive, effectively communicating insights from the data.

• Collaborate with stakeholders, data analysts, and other team members to gather requirements, iterate on designs, and incorporate feedback into dashboards.

• Optimize dashboard performance to reduce load times and improve responsiveness to users.

• Document the dashboard design, data sources, and any relevant processes to facilitate maintenance and future enhancements.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • 1+ years of Salesforce, Tableau, Vidyard, and Excel experience

  • 1+ years of designing, building, and launching successful email engagement programs, specifically lifecycle/nurture programs experience

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with a major brand or entertainment company in project/production management

  • Experience in e-commerce, start ups, advertising, commercial

  • Experience using data visualization tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $53,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $113,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
