Actalent Embedded Software Engineer in Cypress, California

Job Description

The Embedded Software Engineer will develop hardware, firmware, and GUI applications to be used in both modules and larger systems. This role involves defining specifications, developing, designing, and documenting firmware and software for embedded systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop hardware, firmware, and GUI applications for modules and larger systems.

  • Define specifications for embedded systems.

  • Design and document firmware and software for embedded systems.

  • Work closely with multiple engineering disciplines to design Solid State Power Amplifiers.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related degree.

  • Proficiency in embedded software development.

  • Strong knowledge of C/C++ programming.

  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) software.

  • Ability to work in a Bare Metal environment.

  • Experience in the Aerospace/Defense industry.

  • Familiarity with ARM architecture.

  • Familiarity with Linux OS.

Work Environment

Work closely with multiple engineering disciplines to design Solid State Power Amplifiers for aerospace and defense applications. You will be engaged in both new product development (NPD) and legacy product environments, offering an opportunity to see your products quickly enter the market.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $80.00/hr.
