Robert Half Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist in Dallas, Texas

Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist in the pharmaceutical industry based in Dallas, Texas. The role involves management of customer applications, maintaining customer records, resolving inquiries, and monitoring customer accounts.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently handle patient account activities and maintain meticulous documentation of all collection activities.

• Ensure adherence to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to collections.

• Responsible for saving reports from electronic checks and credit card payments.

• Balance patient payments from various sources and ensure total balance to report.

• Review orders and prevent shipment to patients with outstanding balances.

• Investigate any issues related to payments or credit cards.

• Manage chargebacks for credit cards, Certegy, and live patient checks and prepare dispute forms when necessary.

• Process requests for patient refunds.

• Verify patient account balances as requested by call center employees.

• Prepare and mail patient invoices as needed.

• Review patient aged trial balance report and process invoices as needed.

• Handle assigned 3rd party carrier claims.

• Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools

• Proficient in using Epic Software

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems

• Ability to execute Accounting Functions

• Expertise in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Billing Functions

• Ability to manage Cash Activity

• Experience in Cash Handling

• Knowledge of Medical Billing procedures

• Familiarity with Medical Billing - UB92

• Proficient in using EMR (Electronic Medical Records)

• Experience in Contacting Patients for billing purposes

• Capability to handle Patient Billing

• Expertise in Medical Insurance Billing

• Proficient in Insurance Billing

• Experience with Medical Collections

• Ability to manage Patient Collections
