Description
Valor Healthcare is seeking a temporary full-time proofreader to support our partner Mission Critical Psychological Services.
Position Summary
In this role you will be proof reading mental health evaluations created by our psychologists on staff for a military, police, security, first responders, and other deserving patient populations. Experience with English proof reading/editing, excellent attention to detail, strong writing, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently are required. As well as a background in military, police, first responders, border patrol, or other government agencies desired.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:30 - 5 PM CT.
Will start fully in person at our corporate office in Dallas, TX but can transition to hybrid eventually.
No end date set yet, but this role is expected to last for about 6 months.
Responsibilities:
Proofread psychologists’ reports for spelling, punctuation, grammar, and content errors.
Format reports according to unique specifications.
Proactively identify and report issues with document submitted for review.
Other duties and administrative tasks may be assigned.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in English.
2 years of proofreading/editing experience.
Excellent grammar and spelling skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Google Suite.
A high degree of professionalism
Ability to appropriately handle confidential information.
Ability to work well independently with a high level of motivation and accountability.
General understanding of clinical psychology and military personnel is a preferred
