Wolters Kluwer Product Management Associate Director in Dallas, Texas

As the Product Management Associate Director , you will be responsible for overall product management, strategic vision and focus, and product-level profit & loss (P&L) for a significant suite of products and services. Chiefly responsible for the creation and execution of multi-year revenue growth strategies. This position provides consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives with assignments being self-initiated and self-directed. You will manage various aspects of the line of business in support of the organization’s goals and market needs, which may include go-to-market strategies, marketing programs and tools, competitive analyses, market assessment, and product planning.

In this role, you will report to the Director, Product Management and work a hybrid schedule (2 days in office, 3 days from home) from our local office.

Responsibilities:

· Maintain and grow assigned product lines, while driving strong profitability. Identify and monitor KPIs to track and communicate product performance

· Generate viable new product and service concepts which support the business strategy and market position goals of the assigned CT product areas

· Stay abreast of and aligned with corporate and division strategy and mission to identify opportunities which support Wolters Kluwer’s goals

· Provide facilitative leadership within a matrixed organization to drive cross-functional team success toward the achievement of product and organizational goals

· Develop a business case for each approved new product concept by describing in comprehensive terms:

  • The market opportunity.

  • The concept itself and the customer problems it solves.

  • How it will be used by and benefit customers.

  • How it will provide distinctive value for Wolters Kluwer.

  • ROI including benefit statements and projected revenue & expenses.

  • Facilitate approved product development efforts through the definition, development, testing and pre-launch phases to create prototypes that can be customer tested and leveraged in development.

  • Define requirements and functional specifications for the product/service.

  • Ensure successful product launch including coordination of cross-functional go-to-market efforts.

· Direct all product management responsibilities throughout a product’s lifecycle, from the launch and introduction stage, through the growth and maturity stages, and as the product reaches saturation and the decline stage

· Conduct ongoing in-depth research and analysis on each assigned product to gain an understanding of the strengths, weaknesses, and competitive advantages of each product

· Perform in-depth customer and market research to deeply understand customer needs related to their specific workflows

· Advise the overall product strategy for business unit by staying informed of market trends, customer needs and competitor actions to create the relevant product strategy

· Participate in cross functional initiatives and proactively pursue professional development activities.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or technology related field, OR equivalent experience.

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years of product management related experience.

Preferred experience and training:

• 9 years of business-specific product management experience and/or business-specific marketing experience, including:

  • Creation and monitoring of business cases & KPIs.

  • Ability to create and deliver presentations to all levels of management.

  • Development and launch of new and existing products and services.

  • Experience working with technology enabled services.

  • Experience working within a multi-division organization with various sales channels.

  • Coordinating cross-functional groups to accomplish product and revenue objectives.

  • Pragmatic Marketing level 3 (or equivalent) certification.

  • Ability to identify complex problems, review related information, evaluate options and implement solutions that benefit customers and drive growth for CT.

  • Critical Thinking: ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

  • Active Learning: ability to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving, decision-making, and opportunity capture.

  • Systems and Operations Analysis: ability to determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Knowledge of UCC lien filings and searches.
