United Musculoskeletal Partners X-Ray Technologist in Dallas, Texas

Must work Dallas and Irving Locations

We are a large north Texas orthopedic practice looking to hire an X-ray Tech to join our team. Primary location is Dallas with some days in Irving as needed. This is a full-time position Mon- Fri. Hours vary depending on clinic start and end times but normally anywhere from 7:30ish - 5:30ish with half day Friday. NO NIGHTS, NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS, NO FLOURO, NO OR, NO COVID MANDATES! JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.

  • Obtains quality diagnostic radiographic as requested by physicians. (As quickly as exam/patient condition will allow. Keeping a repeat rate of 2% or less.)

  • Uses radiation protection and shielding materials when required.

  • Reviews and QAs radiologic images.

  • Ensures that all equipment is in compliance with state regulations, is maintained in good working order and clean.

  • Liaison between patients, physicians, and medical support staff. Must demonstrate a caring and professional manner in order to make patients feel comfortable.

  • Inventories and stocks radiologic supplies.

  • Attends required staff meetings.

  • Maintains patient confidentiality.

  • Maintains current continuing medical education as required.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor/manager.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATIONAL AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School degree or equivalent.

  • Must be a RT. (No NCTs or LMRTS)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Student technologist would be beneficial but not necessary.

  • Orthopedic experience preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor.

  • Neat, professional appearance.
