JOB OVERVIEW Overall responsibilities include distributing products from inventory and WIP to internal customers and staging finished product to be packaged. The coordinator also implements process changes and improvements to the handling team and evaluates processes with other departments to improve material move methods in a fast-paced environment. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures safety is the #1 priority for the team and helps the team identify hazards and reports \"Near Misses\" to create a safe work environment. Uses forklift or other powered industrial equipment to move product & equipment. Communicates and works well with other departments and team members regarding accurate and timely completion of projects. Demonstrates initiative and willingness to undertake increased responsibility. Exhibits ability to prioritize and plan work activities, manage time efficiently and meet objectives to complete projects. Demonstrates teamwork by working well with others, helping, positively providing, and receiving feedback. Assists management with hiring process and new team member training. Conducts supplemental \"Toolbox Talks\" to update members on best practices and continuing expectations. Provides encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks. Answers team member questions, helps solve problems, and oversees work ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. Encourages company initiatives like safety, 6S manufacturing practices, and F.I.F.O.
