Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team, based in Decatur, Georgia. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity, where you will be responsible for a variety of accounting duties, including processing and maintaining financial records, overseeing operations, and addressing customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the account reconciliation process and ensure the accuracy of financial data.

• Efficiently manage both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Handle banking-related responsibilities, including managing cash flow and debt.

• Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of journal entries in the general ledger.

• Utilize Oracle software for streamlined accounting operations.

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and maintain accurate balance sheet account records.

• Use Excel for various accounting tasks and data management.

• Deliver customer service by resolving customer inquiries and issues.

• Oversee and manage customer credit applications and records. Requirements • Must possess strong skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in managing and maintaining the General Ledger is required

• Must have experience in preparing and posting Journal Entries

• Demonstrated ability in Account Reconciliation is necessary

• Should have expertise in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is a must

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role preferred

• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is required

• Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multitask

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred

• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles is required

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage financial reporting is necessary.
