Major Responsibilities

  • Manages departmental administrative processes related to legal billing, expenses, and accruals.

  • Coordinates Company responses to subpoenas, requests for production, internal compliance audits, and similar requests.

  • Creates, implements, and distributes litigation holds and records preservation notices.

  • Develops policy and process documentation with input from internal legal counsel and key business stakeholders.

  • Creates form letters and other resources to be used by internal business clients in responding to routine requests.

  • Assists with fact-gathering and legal investigations, including in connection with discovery requests.

  • Prepare, review, edit and generate documents and correspondence for legal team.

  • Administrator for the Document Management program used by the legal department.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of high-quality material with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Works productively in an environment with high levels of interruption.

  • Demonstrates a strong customer-service orientation in all interactions.

  • Analytical and critical thinking skills sufficient to make decisions regarding daily work that is complex in nature.

  • Communicates effectively with all levels of management and external customers and contacts.

  • Strong writing, organization, and research skills.

  • Excellent computer and technology skills required, including Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.

  • Notary Public (or willingness to become one) preferred.

Education/Experience:

  • BA, BS or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in a law department or as an executive administrator/assistant
