A client of Robert Half in Del Mar, CA, is seeking a Senior Accountant to bring their expertise to a thriving organization. This role is perfect for someone with a solid foundation in general accounting, financial reporting, and compliance, who is eager to grow their career with a dynamic team in beautiful Del Mar, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting tasks, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.

• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes within strict deadlines.

• Prepare and analyze detailed financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP.

• Support budgeting and forecasting activities to guide business decisions.

• Reconcile bank, credit card, and intercompany accounts, resolving discrepancies promptly.

• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic planning initiatives.

• Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and support for internal/external auditors.

• Implement and enhance accounting policies, controls, and procedures.

• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance to ensure department efficiency.

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA designation highly desired).

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a senior role.

• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and Excel.

• Strong understanding of GAAP compliance and reporting standards.

• Experience with cash flow projections, variance analysis, and financial forecasting.

• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
