Summary As a key member of the Glacier Solutions Development (GSD) team, the Retail Solutions Architect will be part of the IT department, reporting to the Director of Glacier Solutions Development. With a strong technical background in bank systems and operations, the Retail Solutions Architect will leverage their expertise to design solutions that meet the evolving needs of the organization.
This role is responsible for the technical design and implementation of projects aimed at enhancing the bank's online and in-branch deposit account and retail loan origination services platform, along with related service integrations. The role requires focused product knowledge of banking systems management and development, with strong hands-on technical expertise to lead the solution delivery for the retail and Temenos platform, applying technical knowledge and platform capabilities to support business requirements. This individual collaborates closely with Product and Channel Managers, Development Manager, Development Lead, support teams, and technology colleagues to elicit, capture, and translate business requirements into compatible technical designs that can be communicated effectively to the development team for implementation. This role facilitates continuous improvement, enhancement, and technical integration across multiple work streams in collaboration with internal and external teams. It is ultimately responsible for the timely delivery of thorough technical requirements for execution and delivery of new features and functions to meet product roadmap. They are accountable for maximizing the value delivered by the technical team. The technical solutions should align with product and vendor roadmaps, organizational strategy and functional architecture. This role is highly visible with the ability to have a direct impact on the organization and our internal and external customers. The successful candidate must have experience with banking systems development, deposit and/or loan origination processes, possess a continuous improvement mindset, and have outstanding written and verbal communication skills. This is a Corporate position which may be located at an available bank division location across our eight-state footprint in AZ, CO, ID, MT, NV, UT, WA, or WY. The mid-rate for this position is $134,472.45/ per year (calculated for Kalispell, MT). All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background. Description Collaborate with Product and Channel Managers to serve as the solution architect during the analysis, design, planning, and implementation phases of enhancements to the retail banking platforms. This includes technical design for all technical aspects of Temenos, such as UX/UI design, workflows, application configuration, integrations, user profiles or entitlements, and information security. As a solution architect, translates business requirements into well-architected solutions and through technical requirements by leverage capabilities of the Temenos and other existing platforms, products, and integrations with new and existing third-party solutions. Provides the expertise and guidance to peers, leadership, and associates on system architecture as it relates to the business and IT strategies. Independently completes and documents co plex and business critical technical engineering tasks. Establishes technical expertise and teaches the business domain, data model, and design of the code base for the product to other engineering and support staff. Collaborates with development and related technical teams to estimate detailed level of effort and delivery timelines for proposed solutions, articulating the benefits and risks to a solution's feasibility and functionality. Leads solutioning sessions with leadership when differences of opinion arise in technical architecture or design implementation. Supports development team in creating and maintaining a healthy product backlog, creating and reviewing backlog items (user stories, defects, technical spikes, etc.), including participating in agile team ceremonies such as sprint reviews, demos, etc. Assists with advanced troubleshooting for complex and intractable problems. Serves as an escalation point for the development team. Follow and understand new Temenos and related third-party products and technical capabilities resulting from product roadmap, product releases, and acquisitions. About You
