  • Prior teaching experience with in-person and online teaching proof of pedagogical effectiveness.

  • Experience with various types of teaching technologies (i.e. Canvas, Powerpoint, Zoom etc). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Instructor - 33998 Faculty

This position is a nine-month appointment with 90% teaching and 10% service workload. It will entail teaching both in-person and online (remote, asynchronous) lower-division and upper-division undergraduate courses in Psychology. Courses taught will be key courses within either the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree program (including introductory psychology, statistics, research methods, human development, behavioral neuroscience, the history of psychology) and related courses. Teaching load is 9 courses (90%) per academic year. Instructors will also be expected to provide service in the department as 10% of their appointment.

The Department of Psychology offers both the B.A. and B.S. at the undergraduate level to over 900 majors, minors in Psychology and in Behavioral & Cognitive Neuroscience, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Health Psychology. Our faculty members are actively engaged in research and share a dedication to excellence in teaching. The department currently has 23 full-time faculty with expertise in behavioral and cognitive neuroscience, health psychology, clinical psychology, neuropsychology, developmental psychology, aging, ethics, multicultural/cross-cultural psychology, and other areas.
