Job Summary and Qualifications

The Regional Business Office Director (RBOD) drives performance improvement initiatives designed to improve efficiency and effectiveness, by fostering a culture of accountability and transparency. They support the Regional CFOs and VPOs by reviewing weekly and monthly reports for accuracy, identifying trends, assisting with explanations for the Monthly Operating Report, and completes other projects as assigned.

What you will do in this role:

  • RBOD will collaborate with the VPFO to develop standard operating procedures for free-standing centers and Central Business Offices (CBOs), including registration, medical records, coding, billing, collections, insurance verification, payment posting, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, out-of-period adjustments, and unapplied payments.

  • Performs on-site business office assessments to validate compliance with established policies and procedures, creates an action plan to address deficiencies, monitors progress, and holds staff accountable.

  • Monitors compliance with the Division’s Best Demonstrated Practices and Internal Controls.

  • Provides feedback, assistance, and recommendations to leadership regarding major issues identified by Internal Audit.

  • Assists with acquisitions and de novo surgery centers.

  • Participates in the creation, consolidation, or restructure of free-standing centers and Central Business Offices.

  • Trains CBO Directors and Business Office Managers to provide the same level of support for RCFOs and VPOs.

  • Provides support and guidance to CBO Directors, Business Office Managers, Supervisors, CBO and center-level staff.

  • Directly manages, leads, and mentors the Regional Business Office Managers.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5+ years applicable experience

  • 5+ years applicable experience in leadership
