Oracle Software Developer 3 in Denver, Colorado

Job Description

In this specific role (Career Level IC3), you will provide technical leadership and guidance to help develop new services and processes, while operating at the leading edge of technology .

Your primary role is to lead and be responsible for designing and building scalable, distributed, and resilient software services to support health care platforms, applications, and our end users.

You mentor and empower other engineers; you happily share your knowledge with team members to foster collaboration and inclusion.

As a tech lead you will own the complete SDLC from architecture, development, testing, and deployment while accounting for first class monitoring and observability.

You balance feature development and production KPIs.

You will partner with directors, senior directors and architects to guide and lead cross functional efforts across multiple teams, regardless of their technical background.

You are skilled in defining and helping define a vision, influence a technical roadmap and help team alleviate technical and organizational hurdles. You are both an exemplary practitioner and a skilled pragmatist with a deep passion for technology

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

BS or MS degree in computer science, or equivalent

7+ years of developing and shipping enterprise distributed and/or cloud native systems

Strong grasp of system design fundamentals and distributed systems best practices

Deep knowledge or expertise with one of the major Cloud providers (OCI or AWS preferred)

Stellar troubleshooting skills

Strong ownership with a demonstrated track record of collaborating with non-technical multi-disciplinary teams (TPMs, Product Management)

Strong verbal and written communication (English) skills

Demonstrated ability to write great code in Java, Python, or similar OO languages

Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)

Demonstrated ability to influence full system architecture

Strong desire to make an impact and thrive in collaborative and energetic environments

Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts verbally and through design aspect

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,800 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
