What to expect in this role:

Manages and evaluates the activities of the dialysis programs. Ensures comprehensive, quality care for the patient on dialysis. Responsible for organizing and implementing educational programs and providing development opportunities for staff. Participates in the administration of unit policies and procedures as well as ensuring that all Federal End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) requirements are met. Represents the organizations in a professional manner.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting and maintaining a team program and delegating responsibilities to provide the supervision and instruction necessary to meet the needs (physical, mental, emotional) of the patient and family.

  • Serving as liaison between the patient, staff and physician, assuring the patient’s right to appropriate therapy. Interpreting and executing doctor’s orders, and ensuring that the patients are treated with dignity, respect and ensures consideration is given to individual

needs.

  • Providing direct patient care when necessary. Administering medications and treatments as ordered by the physician according to established procedures.

We encourage you to apply if you:

  • Possess an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).

  • Hold your RN licensure in the State of Michigan.

  • Have at least 12 months of nursing care experience, with at least 6 months additional experience in providing care to patients on maintenance dialysis.

  • Have previous leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in dialysis.
