Overview

As our CT/X-ray Registered Technologist at CHI St. Alexius Health Devils Lake, you will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions.
Every day you could perform any variety of x-rays and CT scans with the opportunity to cross train in magnetic resonance imaging. This role is primarily focused on CT and radiology.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing precise results for timely and accurate diagnosis. You have demonstrated the ability to set and maintain multiple priorities in an environment with shifting priorities, while providing accurate deliverables in a timely fashion. You're self-motivated, and able to take ownership of projects/assignments. You are an experienced technologist who can work independently.

Responsibilities
Efficient interpretation of clinical information from clinical team meeting radiology needs of patients
Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the order
Hyper-sensitivity in monitoring radiation exposure time and activity
Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.
Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.
Is responsible to participate in and have a good understanding of all department, campus and system quality improvement projects, the ACR accreditation process, Radiation Safety, ALARA, MQSA, and State
Regulations as they apply to staff's license or certifications. Be familiar with the requirements of CMS and Joint Commission and be able to speak to all department processes around quality and environment of care.
Qualifications
Graduate of a accredited Radiology Technology program.
ARRT (RT)
NDMIRT
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred:
ARRT (CT)
MRIT and Bone Density Experience

Pay Range
$26.51 - $38.44 /hour
