Emerson Outside Sales Engineer in DIEGEM, Belgium

Emerson Discrete Automation Benelux is looking for an Outside Sales Engineer for our Discrete Automation business in Belgium. In this position you will be handling all sales activities to achieve the agreed Sales, Bookings and Strategic targets for the agreed product lines and services within the designated sales region. The growth development of new and existing business in the area is paramount in this function. The generation of new business in this aspect covers sales to all customers, contractors, end users and includes all major segments e.g., Machine & Industrial Automation, Precision Fluid Control and Controls&Software. You will work with the Benelux Sales Manager to optimise opportunities in the region. We look forward to seeing your application!

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Identify the market requirements and specifics, develop, and implement the strategies and tactics for growth of orders and profitability within customers in the agreed sales territory.

  • Direct and coordinate activities to promote sales, support of products and solutions in the assigned area of responsibility.

  • Actively visit existing customers to promote the assigned product lines, entire product portfolio and services.

  • Negotiate with Customer relevant Business Contracts within the agreed Delegation of Authority – including discount, price and volume structures.

  • Continuously drive the improvement of customer satisfaction by understanding, communicating and driving solutions to their needs.

  • Participate in customer development activities such as trade shows, fairs, conferences aiming to promote the sale of products, solutions and services of designated region.

  • Maintain and continuously develop high level of products and technologies knowledge required to perform the job.

  • Ensure that all transactions are properly screened and recorded in accordance with the company’s Trade Compliance procedures and escalate any concerns or questions to the local Gatekeeper.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Engineering bachelor degree or comparable technical education

  • Minimum 3 years sales experience in Industrial and/or Factory Automation Industry.

  • Driving license

  • Willing to travel in the region

  • Fluent in Dutch and good English

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Proficient use in Microsoft package.

  • Be an action-oriented, self-motivated, result driven salesperson.

  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
