The Opportunity

Based in Melbourne, this position works for Core Diagnostics. We’re empowering smarter medical and economic decision making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Every day, more than 10 million tests are run on Abbott’s diagnostics instruments, providing lab results for millions of people.

The Abbott Ambassador is a responsible for driving business success by increasing sales within existing accounts along with maintaining and driving strong customer relationships. With a strong understanding of the sales process, lead generation and relationship building coupled with a deep appreciation of laboratory operation - you will utilise these skills to improve Abbott market position.

Responsibilities:

Account Management

Abbott point of contact with current customers

Develop and implement Account Growth Plans

Maintain accurate up to date customer data

Carry out Customer Operation/Business Reviews

Issue understanding and resolution

Account Growth

Meet or exceed sales targets

Identifies new sales opportunities

Establishes and builds value creation opportunities

Delivers insights for operational improvement

Improved asset utilisation

Actively engage with commercial team to ensure contract renewal and expansion

Customer Satisfaction/Loyalty

Develop relationship with stakeholders inside and outside the laboratory

Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimise customer experience

Maintain a high account NPS.

Participate and oversee post-sale activity and implementation

Identify customer training opportunities

Build image and brand in eyes of customer

Key Performance Metrics

100% renewal/retention of profitable business

Increasing Instrument utilisation with additional business

New Promoters Score

Minimum Skills Required

Relevant experience within either a pathology laboratory or allied health industry is highly preferred

Sales Experience is preferred but not essential

Bachelor’s degree in Science/ MLS /Bio Medical / Medical Technology is preferred but not essential

Quality, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities

Attend regular departmental meetings with manager/supervisor to build in continuous feedback mechanisms.

Meet the requirements of ISO and Class A by complying with all relevant Quality policies and procedures to ensure the Quality objectives of the business are met.

Comply with all relevant company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and work practices with the intent of preventing or minimizing accidental exposures to self, colleagues and/or the environment.
