The role

What will you be doing?

13 Legal Counsel

Dorking Hybrid – 2 days in the office

What will you bring?

We are a leader in employee benefits, protecting over 2 million people, creating security and peace of mind to individuals & families.

We are looking for a commercially minded lawyer, of around 2 -3 years PQE, perhaps already working in-house, or maybe looking to leave private practice, to join our team. As a key member of the Legal Team, you will report to UK General Counsel and support our UK Group companies as well as partner with key stakeholders in the business to provide timely and relevant legal support and advice.

In particular, and as part of the Legal Team, you will assume your own workload and undertake instructions from the business on a wide range of matters including supplier contracts, NDAs, IT agreements, litigation matters, insurance policy wording and interpretation, broker arrangements, broker terms of business and product initiatives.

You will also be responsible for reviewing and drafting new insurance-related documents, revising existing ones, reviewing marketing literature, undertaking contract negotiations, and providing legal sign off where appropriate. You will be an English-qualified lawyer, ideally with significant experience within financial services.
