Oracle Senior Principal Technical Program Manager - Multicloud in Dover, Delaware

Job Description

As a Senior Principal Technical Program Manager on the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Multicloud team, you will own the execution of OCI Multicloud initiatives and programs that span across the OCI organization and our hyperscaler partners. In this highly visible role, you will work with a diverse set of architects, product managers, development and design teams, senior executives, and external partners to take ideas, turn them into mature products, and put them in the hands of the world’s most fast-paced customers.

We are looking for a driven, highly organized individual who excels at driving large-scale, cross-organizational programs and projects to play a critical role in driving product delivery. The successful candidate works backward, starting with the customer, has a passion for solving difficult and often ambiguous problems in a collaborative, agile work environment, a curiosity about creativity and innovative thinking, can lead a conversation in a room with designers, engineers, and product managers, and influence partners to arrive at the accurate outcomes. You come to the role with a history of leading large end-to-end projects, experience driving stakeholder accountability, are an exceptionally strong communicator, and have a good sense of empathy for both customers and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  1. Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and delivery across Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Support, and other key partners to the OCI Multicloud Engineering team.

  2. Drive complex projects while prioritizing deliverable execution, mitigating risks, managing escalations, and ensuring stakeholder requirements are satisfied. Drive execution for timely, on-scope delivery of user and developer facing features.

  3. Work with multi-functional teams to establish and maintain roadmaps, setting appropriate expectations by managing competing priorities and influencing key partners.

  4. Ensure product and service release quality is consistent with Oracle customer experience and operational excellence standards.

  5. Ensure resource requirements needed to support a particular program are in place. Look around corners and effectively escalate and provide visibility where resource constraints and bottlenecks are anticipated.

  6. Provide critical issue management, and make trade-off recommendations, while balancing the business and customer needs, along with technical constraints.

  7. Identify core process gaps, improve them, and establish organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity.

  8. Provide ongoing written and verbal release status updates to senior leadership. Attention to detail is paramount.

  9. Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in response to changing or ambiguous situations, advising changes through appropriate review and approval mechanisms.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or Information Technology, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.

  2. 10+ years of experience in a technical program management role.

  3. Experience building cloud regions and bootstrapping processes for data center expansion.

  4. Understanding of SDLC and modern application development with web services.

  5. Experience using agile software development practices and associated tooling.

  6. Demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically; then comfortable driving teams to deliver results, speaking up, and challenging the status quo when needed.

  7. Highly analytical and comfortable working with large amounts of data. Technically proficient and able to learn about new tools, software, and market opportunities quickly.

  8. Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively communicate findings/progress to cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and the broader organizations, with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  9. Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Azure, AWS) are highly desirable.

  10. Self-driven problem solver; able to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and customer-focused environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or conflicting priorities.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $104,100 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
