Part-time Hair Stylist at Advocate Good Samaritan Health & Wellness Center, Downers Grove , IL (working up to 20 hours per week)

We have a great opportunity for a Hair Stylist at our client site located in Downers Grove, Illinois! In this position, you will be required to have a license through the Illinois State Board of Cosmetology for hair styling. You will be responsible for scheduling and confirming appointments, hair coloring and cuts, and maintaining a professional attitude. You will provide sanitation and safety practices. You will have an understanding of hairdressing techniques. You must keep up to date with the latest hair, techniques and trends.

Responsibilities:

• Offering hair care and hair styling consultations.

• Recommending hair styling products.

• Providing full-service hair styling from shampooing and cutting to colouring and other treatments.

• Making recommendations for hair styles.

• Performing scalp treatments.

• Staying updated on ongoing hair styling trends.

Requirements:

• Adult CPR/AED certification through the American Heart Association, Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required.

• Cosmetology license through the state of Illinois required.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required.

• Flu vaccination required.
