Microsoft Corporation Tomoh Program: Account Technology: Internship Opportunities (UAE Nationals) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

About: Tomoh Program is Microsoft's program for Emiritization, aiming to accelerate Emiratis employability and create market impact through early in career recruitment, and skilling programs.

Program overview : Microsoft Tomoh Internship is a paid nine-month training program that offers globally recognized technical and professional certifications & skills, and on-the-job training to include mentoring, coaching, job shadowing and real-life scenario assignments.

Program Details: The 9 months program is divided into two key phases (Phase 1 - Onboarding & Skilling, Phase 2 - On The Job Training)

Phase one: Onboarding & Skilling Bootcamp (1 month)

Onboarding and introduction to Microsoft’s mission, culture, strategy & structure.

Technical skilling to obtain globally recognized Microsoft technical certifications.

Professional and soft skilling courses including project management, change management, effective interpersonal skills, creativity and innovation, and time management.

Phase two : On-the-job training (8 months)

Joining as an Account Technologist for on-the-job shadowing and training.

Mentorship and coaching sessions.

Supporting Microsoft teams in digital transformation projects.

Advanced technology trainings including AI, Machine Learning & Cloud Computing.

Responsibilities

  • Generates business insights based on data received from the customer and internal teams (e.g., community and ecosystem, account team), and from knowledge of the capability of Microsoft products, to provide input into planning processes.

  • Assists in the creation of fundamental, technical roadmaps, outlining the digital transformation journey and core wins, with help from others. Builds technical engagement or enablement plan, captures baseline, and drives envisioning.

  • Applies an understanding of the customer's business objectives and scenarios in conjunction with industry priority scenarios (IPS) or Microsoft solution areas to map through the sales plays.

  • Responds to opportunities presented by the customer, creates demand, and reports isolated problems or issues that the customer is experiencing.

  • Provides support to help drive account planning for budgeting, quota attainment, consumption goals, and customer consumption gaps to inform quarterly and fiscal objectives. Coordinates account teams and conducts forecasting and tracking of the business, as instructed. Execute tasks related to the technical portion of the account plans.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Emirati National holding UAE Family Book.

  • Fluency in English.

  • You must be legally authorised to work in UAE to be eligible for this role. (Legally authorised = has citizenship or has been granted a valid visa or work permit) for your employment with Microsoft and the country where you work.

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Business Administration/Management,Engineering, or related field before the start date (OR must be recent graduates or recently graduated).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Passion for technology and customer obsessed.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills. 

  • Strong balance of both business and technical skills

  • Exceptional negotiation, customer service, and interpersonal skills 

  • Technical consulting, technical consultative selling, product development, or related technical/sales experience is a plus
