AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
The role will be based in Dubai and may require approximately 20% of business time for traveling to other countries in MENAT area for customer visits.
Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
Key job responsibilities
You will manage the overall technical relationship between AWS and our customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency to accelerate their challenging projects.
You will also:
Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
You will build the technical relationship with customers and operate as their trusted advisor. The best interests of the customer will shape the guidance you provide.
Internally, you will be the voice of the customer, sharing their needs and wants to inform the roadmap of AWS features.
You will participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. whitepapers, code samples, blog posts) and evangelize and educate about AWS (e.g. through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences).
Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organization by hiring, coaching and mentoring others.
Develop areas of depth in technical domains relevant to your interests and your customer's outcomes.

A day in the life
You will have the opportunity to work with account managers to help ISV customers accelerate their cloud implementation to modernize their business on AWS. Working with these customers, you will help them transform existing workloads by designing modern target architectures optimized for business agility, innovation, performance, resiliency, cost, security, and more using both native and partner solutions.
Our teams focus on understanding customer key business drivers as well as the existing application architecture(s) to deliver a technical recommendation to the customer with a goal of designing a robust cloud architecture that can scale as their business requires.

Basic Qualifications
6+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
Background in Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture or DevOps across industries and demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product and technical challenges
Experience in managing complex sales processes with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Technical Degree (Computer Science, Maths, Engineering or equivalent) and/or relevant tech experience and business level English communication skills, written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications
Experience and familiarity with software companies, prior domain experience in enterprise cloud adoption and operating production workloads on AWS
Knowledge of cloud native design patterns, DevOps practices and AWS services
Experience with or understanding of common enterprise regulations, security and compliance standards
Public speaking experience or passion for creating technical content
Working knowledge of cloud native architectures
Experience working in a customer-facing role
Business level Arabic communication skills, written and verbal
