Are you ready to lead a team of Town Planners and shape the future of Town Planning in Ireland?

Join our diverse Town Planning Practice as an Associate Director and you will be responsible for being a Team Leader in growing Dublin, Belfast, Cork or Galway offices as well as taking advantage of our flexible hybrid working model. At AECOM, we’re at the forefront of innovation, delivering an exceptional portfolio of projects through long-term partnerships with key clients. These include major Irish companies along with contractors and UK and international projects. In this role, you will lead all aspects of Town Planning for planning within Ireland including infrastructure consenting. This position offers an unparalleled opportunity to grow and lead a team committed to innovation and efficiency working on a range of both big infrastructure SID projects as well as more local development projects to the relevant Local Authority/Council.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Oversee: Ensure the successful technical delivery of planning deliverables across a variety of work alongside a multidisciplinary team of staff at AECOM.Guide a team to provide valuable solutions to client challenges

  • Provide Expertise: Offer technical knowledge and expertise on all aspects projects. Providing support and guidance to peers and more junior staff to distribute knowledge and ensure contemporary planning issues and legislation are cascaded and understood.

  • Ensure Quality: Review and verify to ensure compliance with relevant standards, specifications, and procedures.

  • Collaborate: Work closely with clients and AECOM counterparts to secure stakeholder buy-in for solutions, while contributing to AECOM's broader technical capabilities and innovative approaches.

  • Growth: Leading and supporting business development opportunities and associated fee and technical proposal development. Assisting the Ireland lead to develop and grow the team in size and experience.

Qualifications

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Experience working on a wide range of development schemes

  • Excellent knowledge, understanding and application of current and emerging planning legislation.

  • Direct ROI planning experience in a consultancy of public sector role.

  • Experience managing and working as part of multi-disciplinary teams

  • Experience of planning system in Ireland

  • Post Graduate qualification in Planning

  • Chartered Town Planning Status (or approaching chartered status).
