Google Hardware Category Manager, Finance Operations in Dublin, Ireland

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain and Operations Management, Finance, or Business or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4 years of experience in multi-disciplined procurement, leading strategy development, execution and sourcing or a related function, or a related advanced degree.

  • Experience with contract drafting, review, and management within the category, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards, and experience partnering with Contracting teams and cross-functional partners.

  • Experience in executing sourcing strategies, Request-for- processes, negotiations, and supplier evaluations within designated categories.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proficiency analyzing procurement data, generating reports, and providing insights to support decision-making and performance evaluation within the category.

  • Experience in developing and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure category performance and track progress towards strategic goals.

  • Proficiency in leveraging technology and analytical tools to enhance category management practices and drive data-driven decision-making.

  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and innovation. Ability to drive improvement initiatives to enhance category management practices.

  • Effective project management skills; ability to lead strategic projects/initiatives aimed at improving procurement processes, implementing new strategies, or driving innovation.

Within the Google Procurement Organization, the Category Management team partners closely with key stakeholders to help shape and implement procurement strategies. The Category Team is responsible for developing and driving holistic category strategies, managing stakeholder relationships, and bringing excellence to Google-wide sourcing, supplier, and contract management.

  • Support development and execution of category strategies aligned with organizational objectives for assigned indirect spend categories.

  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality service delivery and alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Support execution of sourcing strategies, RFx processes, negotiations, and supplier evaluations within designated categories.

  • Analyze spending patterns, market trends, and identify value opportunities within the category.

  • Analyze procurement data, generate reports, and provide insights to support decision-making and performance evaluation within the category.
