Google Technical Program Manager, Network Infrastructure and Capacity Planning in Dublin, Ireland

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in program management with cross functional technical project experience.

  • 5 years of experience in or exposure to networking infrastructure domain related functions.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

  • Financial skills e.g business/ project budget creation and cost-benefit analysis.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in an ambiguous and busy operations environment, and deliver outstanding results in a timely manner.

  • Outstanding organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities with an excellent attention to detail.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

  • Lead projects in support of quarterly topology publications such as capacity PoR and infrastructure PoRs for WAN core and campus functional areas.

  • Participate in topology change control program ensuring consistent handling of topology change in and out of cycle.

  • Establish and/or contribute to key business metrics development, measurement and tracking, contributing to the setting of team OKRs, driving priority analysis.

  • Contribute technical expertise in network planning functions as well as programs established to improve efficiency, accuracy and automation.

  • Lead the delivery of projects, liaise with partner teams to identify obstacles and ambiguity in processes and automation.
