Actalent IV Pharmacy Technician in Dublin, Ohio

Actalent is looking for an IV Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Dublin, Ohio!

Lots of room for growth and professional development! This person will be the first pharmacy technician to join the team in Dublin, so as more pharmacy techs are ad ded, this person will move into a lead position. Hours are 1st shift, M-F paying $26+/hr!

Job Description

Mix IV and other pharmaceutical preparations using proper sterile compounding techniques. Adhere to all documented instructions, warnings, and procedures and best practices to ensure safe and effective drug preparation. Perform environmental monitoring, sanitation, testing and other activities as required by applicable federal and state pharmacy regulations and USP-797. Maintain accurate drug inventory through purchasing, receiving, stocking, pulling, counting, and tracking drug items in accordance with established policies and procedures. Enter home medication list and lab results into CPR+ for the patient's profile (when available). Clean ante-room and clean room according to USP-797 standards. Maintain clean room logs. Verify lot numbers and perform periodic checks in inventory. Be available for assisting with On-Call responsibilities as needed. Successfully complete a competency verification plan upon hire and annually thereafter. Understand and maintain confidentiality with respect to company proprietary information as well as information concerning patient/client care, complying with all federal and state laws as they apply to confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and electronic protected health information (EPHI), and follow HIPAA guidelines regarding readily identifiable protected health information.

Shift: Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm, on call on weekends every 3 weeks.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • MUST be a certified pharmacy technician (PTCB/CPHT)

  • 1+ years of IV/compounding experience

  • 1+ years of experience working in a clean room or sterile environment

  • Home infusion therapy experience preferred, but not required

Work Environment

Closed Door Pharmacy. Team of 5 people. Dress code is business casual.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr.
