Description:

Systems Engineer - Associates who are focused on the design, configuration, deployment and maintenance of servers, networks and server based systems. These individuals do planning and project coordination relating to client IT Initiatives/projects.

MSP is key to this role.

Job Requirements

 Must have 3+ years’ work experience in related IT position

 Essential Duties

o Act as a “Technology Success Manager” for our clients

o Coordinate client services activities for medium and larger clients.

o Participate in quarterly business reviews (QBRs)

o Design and implementation at the network level: LAN and WAN connectivity, routers, firewalls and security

o Design and implement hosted and cloud solutions for customers using technologies that meet their requirements

o Design and implement disaster recovery solutions

o Support services for virtualization technologies

o Administration and maintenance of the remote monitoring solution, CW Automate.

o Respond to client support request ticket escalations

o Handling escalated server, network and desktop related issues for clients

o Participate as a resource for projects run by the Implementation and Onboarding team

o System documentation development, maintenance and review

o Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes and agreed outages, etc.

o Handle tickets created due to alerts in CW Automate that are escalated from Tier1.

o Review of CW Automate alerts, performance information and configurations.

o Server checkups using CW Automate data and manual review of servers as necessary.

o Participate in on-call rotation for off-hours support

o Enter all work as service tickets in Connectwise.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MSP Experience is a must for this role.

On call rotation is currently every 9 weeks and the tech is on call for 1 week. They will have an escalation person in case they get in over their head.
