The Director, Global Strategic Accounts e-Retail is a vital role in the commercial organization reporting to the Head of Global Strategic Account Management and working alongside other Global Strategic Account Managers, Account Teams and driving cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Supply, and Innovation. This role directly and actively manages the e-Retail business and manages Animal Health business with one of the market leading e-Retail organization globally, generating disruptive growth for both partners in existing and new markets. Shares P/L responsibility with Region and R/OPUs to deliver excellence in customer value creation and ensures above market growth.

The Director Global Strategic Accounts e-Retail is responsible for leading all aspects (sales, marketing, financial, strategic, contracting) in working with assigned "c-suite" level executives (CEO, COO, CIO, CFO, CMO, etc..) including US and Global. Is the first line contact for their assigned customers Global leadership organization to facilitate collaboration with global, regional and (R)OPU BIAH leadership and (R)OPU customer team. This position develops & drives the global customer strategic business plan aligned with the global accounts goals and objectives to elevate trust, partnership and co creation beyond products and services. In addition to the active management of their Global Strategic Account(s), the Director, Global Strategic Accounts e-Retail will support key Regional and Multi-National account teams where they setup the team structure, regularly participate in team meetings and ensure plans are designed and implemented. The incumbent will actively monitor the aligned resources to steer achievement of both strategic and financial goals. With the support of the GSAM head, CoE, OPU and account teams hierarchy, the position holder shall ensure their actively managed account as well as assigned account teams are enabling the SAM process, opportunity development and creation, strategic planning and ensure collaboration between BIAH and the accounts to provide added value, differentiation and solutions/ offering in line with the account objectives and needs finding the sweet spot between the accounts needs and BIAH offerings.

The Director, Global Strategic Accounts e-Retail facilitates collaboration with global, regional, and local BIAH leadership as well as the customer teams to deliver excellence in customer value creation and ensure above market growth within the geography. This role shares P/L responsibility with Region and R/OPUs to deliver excellence in customer value creation and ensure above market growth in the geography of assigned Account(s) teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

Strategy & Account Plan Development / Execution:

  • Assesses assigned global customer(s) mission, goals, strategy, and relationships to link aligned opportunities, solutions and people which create mutual value.

  • Determines value added strategies to increase our value proposition to customers and serve as a trusted advisor.

  • Defines, develops, implements, and owns BIAH global strategies, solutions and relationship plans aligned to customer assessment that ensure mutual value, optimal account intimacy and long-term growth.

  • Leads and monitors co-located dedicated account teams to ensure excellence in action plans and initiatives execution including interaction of the BIAH customer team members and BIAH leadership.

  • Regularly monitors and updates the financial potential, targets, P/L trend and share of customer spend to support long range planning and annual budget exercises.

Value Creation:

  • Translates Global Strategic Marketing (GSM) strategy into account-based marketing and value solution creation that support customer goals and mutual opportunities.

  • Identifies key insights and priorities based on account team and country monthly performance analysis and takes quick action based on these insights, focusing on achieving/growing share of customer spend (SOW)leadership within species and countries.

  • Customer insights generation - Leverages key customer insights and long-term plans to guide the creation of GSM strategy and product portfolio opportunities as well as mutual opportunities for growth.

Organizational Alignment:

  • Leads a cross functional coordination (Global Commercial Business, Global Strategic Marketing, Technical, R&D, Finance, Legal, Regulatory, Supply & Logistics and sales teams) to ensure adequate/optimized levels of services, communications and agreements are in place as aligned to account plans.

  • Implements strategic targets/initiatives in collaboration with the customer across business segments/species and R/OPUs.

  • Serves as a global liaison to guide regional business operations, countries to develop professional practices that serve BIAH’s strategic extension towards our top customer(s).

  • Provides appropriate information to support Long Range Planning and annual budget exercises.

  • Through Regional Business Managers and GSAM's, ensures the guidance and ensure implementation with Regional Business Managers.

Integrated Planning & Execution:

  • Responsible for turning customer insights into GSM linked financial based value propositions and communication.

  • Defines and implements value added services and in line with strategic direction from GSM.

  • Develops and scales business cases and best practices across accounts and geographies.

Strategy & Account Team Development (region teams):

  • Actively monitors and steers achievement of strategic and financial goals through guidance, account team structure, and aligned resources to ensure plans are designed and implemented in assigned regional account teams.

  • Influences and guides those assigned customer teams to link customer mission, goals, strategy and stakeholder relationships to opportunities, solutions and people which create mutual value.

  • Directs co-located dedicated account teams to ensure excellence in action plans and initiatives execution including interaction of the BIAH customer team members and BIAH leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in business management, MBA, Veterinary or comparative degree recommended.

  • Experiences in Strategic/Key account management as well as working in multinational companies and across matrices.

  • Ten (10) years’ experience in Animal Health or other highly concentrated industry recommended in Strategic/Key Account or business operations management.

  • Profound understanding of the dynamics in the pet retail business.

  • Knowledge of the Animal Health industry economics and drivers preferred.

  • Ability to work and thrive in a matrix team environment.

  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a candid manner.

Eligibility Requirements :

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
