Michigan State University(MSU) Office Assistant II in East Lansing, Michigan

Position Summary

Greets people, answers and screens phone calls for faculty and staff.  Maintains supplies and inventory for copier for unit, maintains meeting spaces and leased vehicle schedule, enters invoices and other documents into EBS; processes hire action forms for students and temp on calls employees, performs I-9 and background checks for temporary employees, other duties as assigned. 

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge normally acquired through a high school education; six months to a year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in typing, spreadsheet software and word processing; may require experience as a Cashier/Teller and in bookkeeping/accounting procedures or knowledge of technical or medical terminology and/or technical training related to the field of employment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications

Self starter. demonstrated work orientation that includes problem solving, teamwork and continuous learning.  Exp in Microsoft products and Enterprise Business systems.
