Position Summary

The Office of Civil Rights and Title IX Education and Compliance (OCR) invites applicants for the position o[]{#_Hlk142399012}f Senior Support and Intake Coordinator, who serves on the team that is responsible for initial contact and response to concerns reported to OCR and reports to the Director of Support and Intake. This position's primary responsibilities include intake and triage of reports of relationship violence, sexual misconduct, protected-status harassment, discrimination, and related retaliation. The Senior Support and Intake Coordinator also is responsible for conducting options meetings with individuals impacted by behavior that may violate one or more of OCR's polices. Additionally, this role will be responsible for coordinating supportive measures, interim measures, and modifications for parenting students and students affected by pregnancy, childbirth and pregnancy-related conditions. 

Support, Options Meetings & Accommodations

  • []{#_Hlk143099448}Coordination of requests for interim and supportive measures as outlined in the Relationship Violence and Sexual Misconduct Policy and the Anti-Discrimination Policy.
  • Communication and coordination of academic and work alterations with claimants, respondents, witnesses, academic units, and employment units.
  • []{#_Hlk143100188}Meet with parties to listen with patience and empathy and share options related to -- investigation processes, alternative resolutions, support, and resources
  • Identification and collaboration with key campus partners to develop inter-office protocols for specific types of supportive measures.
  • Collaboration with campus and community support services to provide continued access to employees and students educational activities.
  • Assist in administering modifications for parenting students and students affected by pregnancy, childbirth and pregnancy-related conditions 
  • Evaluate community members needs to provide supportive measures

Case Management

  • Receive and respond to reports by phone, in-person, and/or virtual or digital platforms in a trauma-informed and inclusive manner
  • Assessment of reported information for applicable potential policy violations
  • Record detailed case information/documentation in electronic case files
  • Independently follow-up on communications from community members and campus partners
  • Maintains case records by reviewing case notes, logging new information and reporting updates as needed
  • Organized management of a large caseload
  • Maintains privacy and confidentiality in response to sensitive disclosures

Unit Administration

  • Prepares case reports for various case management meetings
  • Triage and assign reports and cases to case management team
  • Review and respond to case closures via reporting management system
  • Assist in management of shared mailbox and coordinate response to community members
  • Development of public-facing resource materials to support the intake process and provide transparency
  • Serve as a mentor and coach to case management team 
  • When needed act on behalf of the Director of Support and Intake
  • Other duties as assigned

Campus & Partner Support

  • Participate in supporting prevention and outreach efforts, serving on workgroups, university committees, and training panels
  • Attendance and ability for public speaking to present information at various meetings
  • Development of internal protocols and processes to improve the efficiency and consistency of the process
  • Engage in ongoing training and development related to Civil Rights and Higher Education
