2nd shift Pressman Job Overview East Longmeadow manufacturer currently seeking a Pressman for their 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various printing presses such as Komori and Heidelberg machines, ensuring high-quality output while adhering to production schedules. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and a passion for the printing industry. Full time, temp-hire opportunity! Responsibilities Operate and maintain printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials. Monitor the printing process to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on press equipment to minimize downtime. Collaborate with the prepress team to ensure accurate file preparation and color management. Conduct quality control checks throughout the production process, making adjustments as necessary. Utilize knowledge of typography and print advertising to enhance the overall product quality. Safely operate forklifts and other machinery as required during production processes. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Qualifications Proven experience as a Pressman or in a similar role within the printing industry. Strong understanding of color management principles and techniques. Knowledge of quality control measures specific to the printing process. Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift materials as needed. Schedule: 2nd shift: 3pm-11pm.
