Summary:

  • Position Summary: The Manager, Administrative and Financial Systems has oversight responsibility for supporting administrative and financial systems for all LGH owned supported facilities. This includes but is not limited to the organization’s Patient Engagement technology, Mobile Unified Clinical Communications, Enterprise Resource Planning ERP , Enterprise Faxing solution, time and attendance and financial analysis systems.

  • The manager will regularly engage appropriate internal and external customers to ensure that the systems are: 1 beneficial to the supported operational areas, 2 fiscally responsible for the customer and the organization, and 3 fit into the strategic growth and direction of the organization. The manager will adhere to and work towards enhancement of LGH Information Systems Department standards and practices. The full scope of this purpose statement applies to all phases of the system life cycle, including development, implementation integration, and ongoing support.

  • Directs the activities of the organization's core administrative, and financial systems.

  • Serves as an integral participant in the administrative, and financial system acquisition process.

  • Provides leadership in evaluating and prioritizing the deployment of technology as an enabler in the business areas supported by the supervisors and their teams.

  • Manages and oversees the day-to-day performance of information systems as they support department operations.

  • Develops and implements tools to monitor system performance and develops departmental IT metrics.

  • Provides regular status report updates to management on department operations as requested and consistent with best practices.

  • Monitors major implementation projects, work plan hours, and budget for current and planned upgrades associated with third party applications and integrations, including integrations with other systems, and monitors ROI as necessary.

  • Works in conjunction with direct reports and other IS management staff to keep current IT upgrades on schedule and develops solutions to overcome obstacles.

  • Acts as a LGH Information Systems Department liaison, with the broader LGH Community, to facilitate communication and planning; facilitates communication with vendors as appropriate for current and planned IT projects.

  • Ensures that the right timing, resources and sequences of work efforts are applied to ensure project deadlines are met within scope and budget.

  • Maintains strong application and project leadership skills. Stays up to date on best available applications and technology.

  • Performance management focused on driving high results, including the timely offering of constructive counseling and corrective action.

  • The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above:

Responsibilities:

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field or equivalent experience.

  • Five 5 years of leadership experience.

  • Three 3 years of experience managing multiple concurrent projects.

  • Solid understanding of current applications and trends in administrative, financial and interfacing systems.

  • Must be a tactical visionary, strategic thinker, creative problem solver and analytical professional with enterprise perspective and broad business and technology acumen.

  • Must possess an understanding of computer system capabilities to address process requirements.

  • Ability to integrate process steps and hand-offs across disciplines departments and drive teams to decisions.

  • Solid understanding of current applications and trends in administrative and financial systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in a related field.

  • Three 3 years of financial analysis, budget preparation and variance reporting.

  • Three 3 years of personnel supervision, including recruitment and retention responsibilities.
