Pay Range: $75,225.00 - $102,870.00

As a Manager of Safety & Quality you will manage and audit all aspects of our Safety and Quality program. You will serve as a leader of the local Safety & Quality team and act as a champion for safety and quality policies and procedures. You will report to the Senior Manager of Safety & Quality.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a team of Safety professionals to support safety and quality initiatives

  • Oversee all safety, quality, auditing, and training programs

  • Define goals aligned with company business plan objectives and safety department vision

  • Provide instruction as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on safety and quality tasks and Operator Qualifications

  • Manage and conduct on-site safety assessments of crews

  • Investigate incidents and use root cause analysis to generate corrective actions

  • Complete internal quality control audits and communicate audit findings

  • Manage drug and alcohol program and maintain safety documentation

  • Assist in the risk assessment and hazard control of new projects and tasks

  • Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership

What You'll Have

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required, Trade, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 2 years’ experience managing a team

  • 3 years’ experience in safety, quality, and/or regulatory compliance for pipeline, construction, or related industries

  • OSHA 500/510 and/or a professional certification/ designation in Safety is preferred

  • In depth knowledge of gas pipeline construction and replacement is a plus

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills

Work Environment

  • Some work is performed in the field at construction sites; field work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions

  • All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and/or crouch for extended periods of time

  • Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds

  • Flexibility to work varying schedules and stay late when necessary

  • Travel required within the state routinely and out of state occasionally

Legal Stuff

  • Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens

  • Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify

  • Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

  • Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
